There is good news against coronavirus, that Betadine can save you from coronavirus infection. When we all are eagerly waiting for a vaccine to get relief from this killer virus at that time this information giving some hope to us.

You should be aware of the study, which says that Betadine is used as a medicine for topical antiseptic. It contains povidone-iodine (PVP-I).  PVP-I is a broad-spectrum antiseptic, which functions against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It previously used in both internal requirements against MRSA as well as oral requirements in-vitro studies of SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, H1N1, and rotavirus effectively. Researchers claim, that it's very effective against the deadly coronavirus and that is the reason this medicine is now being used in different hospitals, especially the front-line worker like health workers, including doctors, are being asked to use betadine. As per the laboratory test, BETADINE Gargle and mouthwash were tested for virucidal activity with two concentrations, undiluted (PVP-I 1% w/v) and at a 1:2 dilution (PVP-I 0.5% w/v) The testing demonstrated strong in-vitro virucidal activity, with the tested products killing 99.99% of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in just 15 seconds. The TIDREC research has been accepted by the British Dental Journal (BDJ) and was published as a Letter on 26 June 2020. The journal is published by Springer Nature on behalf of the British Dental Association. "Laboratory testing has shown that the BETADINE gargle and mouthwash is effective against COVID-19 and could contribute to our ongoing efforts to keep people and communities safe,” said Dr. Pouya Hassandarvish, the Lead Investigator of the Study and the postdoctoral fellow researcher at TIDREC, University of Malaya.
